Rewritten Reality on Harriet

Here's an article you may want to read:
[...] But take another look at the prolific HK and you'll find a couple of clouds to this silver lining. A quick perusal of her reviews indicates that all of her reviews–all of them–are either four or five star affairs. Apparently every book is good or great, which is a pretty good track record for an industry which has the reputation of producing some schlock on occasion (just scurrilous rumors, no doubt). Still, you would imagine that one or two authors wouldn't have gotten the "only great books accepted" memo and might, possibly, have written something a little below par. [...]

Excellent article, Malleus. Once again demonstrating the fact that any thinking, reasoning person can see instantly this empress has no clothes.

Good find on that blog. BTW, Hurried Klausner has even made it onto Wik, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harriet_Klausner

Great article!

I wonder if the groundswell of "you're a fraud, Harriet" is having some kind of tiny effect on her. As some of you know, I tend to amuse myself (because I am evil like that) by doing my own reading/reviewing, then going over to Amazon and posting factual corrections to Harriet's straight-off-the-back-cover-blurb babblings in the comments.

In the past several weeks, I've been shocked to find that many of the books I've reviewed (paperback mysteries, as it happens) do NOT have posted reviews by Harriet.

I'm not egotistical enough to think that *I* have tossed cold water on her with my little corrections and digs at her grammar and punctuation skills, or lack thereof. But I do find it interesting.

Of course, now that I've posted this, I have no doubt that by 1/15 HK and her minions will have bulk posted another 100 or so reviews, including all those mysteries.
