Grady Harp's day job

First, let me say that KrossD brought this to my attention. After reading it carefully I emailed the artist involved in this incident. He responded to my inquiry promptly and verified the facts. He told me that the ordeal with Grady Harp had soured him on art dealers and that his primary outlet for his beautiful paintings and drawings is now directly through his studio.

This letter Wim wrote to ArtSpace 2000 is his account of his dealings with Grady Harp's gallery. It is not pleasant reading. I'm not sure how many of you are aware that KrossD is a gifted artist and is knowledgeable about galleries, artist's contracts, etc. Read what Wim has to say about his encounter with one of Amazon's "top" reviewers. It's an eye opener.

Yeah, I remember that thing from the comments in one of Vick's articles. Not being a lawyer, one can't be sure, but to me, this fits the picture.

I missed seeing any reference to this on Vick's site. It was news to me. You don't need to be a lawyer to know that the evasive action taken by GH in order to avoid answering Wim's inquiries about the fate of his own paintings was wrong. As Wim stated at the end of his letter to the Art Fraud site, Grady Harp could be quite charming when he wanted something from you but he had two faces. I know Wim went through hell trying to get his unsold paintings back.

Well, I meant that not being privy to the whole affair one can't really judge. I know Wim even less that I know Grady Harp, and anyone can post anything on the net. Just to be fair.
