Friends, I think we should invite more people, like KrossD, and some others from the board. I only sent invitations to people whose emails I had. How could we get to the rest? I'll need their emails...
PS. I'll be travelling out of town soon and won't always be able to quickly respond to whatever necessities may come up here. I think we need to appoint another admin (or several?). Volunteers? No regular tasks involved, mostly moderation/inviting new people (and kicking out old ones ;-)

KrossD has been invited and has come and lurked. Who knows? He could be here now... I thought we were all going to give the address to our amazon friends...no?
I'm not sure how it works with Amazon friends. But in order to join as a poster here (that is, someone who can post messages, not only comments) one needs to be 'invited', and therefore I need his email address. KrossD and others won't be able to join on their own.
JJJS, how do we invite these folks to this discussion? Can you send an invite to anonymous? Thoughts? I can think of several Amazon posters who would love to join us here, safe from having their reviews trashed with negative votes.
Also, if you don't have any more adept volunteers I could probably muddle through. I manage well enough with making simple changes to the company's webpage so I should be able to.
They need to give me their email address. It can be _any_ email address: the only requirement is that it be real; they'll receive and email there.
They will select their screen name and password and what not themselves (I don't really participate in a user's setup other than offering an invitation via this blog software).
Misfit, I've just made you 'admin'. Now you can invite people yourself. Read the HELP here to learn what else you can do.
JJJS, oh lucky me, I'll play with that tomorrow. :-)
Can you put an option on the blog page for visitors to request to join?
If they for some reason do not want to contact you or me via email, they can request this in a comment. An email address is still needed.
Anonymous, I think if you post your Amazon name and an email address where it can be sent I would hope you receive an invitation to join the blog.
Misfit, the "anonymous" above is me, I'm just too lazy to log in. Sorry for the confusion :-)

Friends, This is a serious idea that I think would be great. Why don't we have a genuine conference? I could set it up if we did it in Madisonville, Ky. which is near Nashville, Tn; near Evansville In.;and near Louisville, Ky. I organized a conference in Madisonville before, and so I know everybody, and I can get us good to great deals. I will also pick up anyone flying into Evansville,Indiana. I can keep some pretty good snacks available, and will set up a "meeting room" for social interactions, and a conference room for meetings, and issue discussions. We could set up logical guidelines for reviewers, even if we were the only ones who abided by them, and just make the world of Amazon, and literature, and reviewing a better place. What do you guys think? We would need an agenda( besides HK),and could have an outing to Mammoth Cave which is about 3 hours from Madisonville.Just a thought, but I think that it would be great.......
Aha, Susiq2 is here. Welcome! All interesting ideas, we'll have to consider them.
Susiq2, I don't think you've joined the blog. I think you got a login account of some sort on this overall thing (is it google?), but I don't see you as a poster; you show up in the team list as a pending "invitee".
See if you can post a message (rather than a comment). If you can't, do the sign-in procedure again. If you'd like, I can invite you again (but I think you can use the email you have).
I was published! It worked. Thanks to all for your assistance. I am at home almost all of the time, I could help moderate if I could be of any service.I do help moderate on another forum, but all that I have done there so far is to deny spammers admittance.Let me know if I can help, I'm willing, and slightly able ;-).......Susiq2
Yes, now I can see you as a poster. Good job! Congrats.
